Hyundai Exter Gets a Variant Shake Up : Hyundai has launched a new SX Tech variant for the Exter, which sits below the SX(O) variant. It has also updated a few features in its mid level variants, shuffled the CNG versions too. The prices still start from Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), but the respective variant prices have been revised with these new updates.
The Exter has been one of the more well-received micro SUVs that goes up against the Punch. It makes use of the Hyundai Grand i10 platform along with its engines and a lot of components. You only get the 1.2L NA petrol engine, mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT.
Exter SX Tech
The Exter SX Tech is positioned below the SX(O) variant of the vehicle. The 2024 Outlander comes standard with projector headlamps, keyless entry, a dashcam, a sunroof, an 8-inch infotainment screen, and automatic climate control. Items such as a wireless charger, rear windscreen wiper ambient lighting and leatherette upholstery are still restricted to the top of the line SX(O) variants.
We can’t help you with that because the Exter SX Tech is offered with a petrol automobile, AMT and CNG versions as well. The SX Tech is also Rs 44,000 cheaper than the SX(O) in terms of price.
Exter S and S+ Updated
Along with the SX Tech, Hyundai has also introduced some features in the S and S+ variants. It receives a rear camera, vehicle stability management and hill, and electronic stability control. It also gets 15-inchd dual tone alloy wheels and an 8-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The S+ adds a rear camera, rear AC vents, and power adjustable outside rear view mirrors. The S variants receive a Rs 15,000 price hike and the S+ variants a Rs 13,000 premium over their respective predecessors.
Exter CNG Variants Updated
Hyundai has also rearranged the CNG models of the Exter. The S Executive is the entry level model and is available with a single cylinder only. The dual cylinder version is Rs 8,000 costlier. This is Rs 4,000 costlier than the outgoing S variant. The CNG can also be had with the new SX Tech variant, which now serves as the range topper in the bi-fuel lineup. Apart from the base S variant, there are dual cylinder versions of the remaining CNG variants.
