build a one-off Wrangler unlike any you’d find on the trail. It’s called the SoFlo Speedster, and it’s part two-door sports car, part hardcore off-roader. This, the firm says, is how the Wrangler Rubicon 392 should have been from the start. Agree with it or not, there’s no denying this thing is in your face.
The Speedster packs a 6.4-liter Hemi V8, putting out a whopping 575 hp, or 105 hp more than the Rubicon 392 provides. Those are the gains from an upgraded exhaust and a tune. SoFlo has then removed the second half of the cabin, plus the rear section and the rear doors, so this is a two-door with a five-foot bed in the back and a custom-built steel roll cage.
Making certain the Speedster can ascend scary cliffs as well as cruise down the Florida Keys is a set of 22-inch wheels covered in 40-inch Nitto off road tires. It also features front and rear 44-inch Dana axles with Sierras’ electronic locking differentials and a “sports-tuned” suspension. SoFlo claims the 4×4 has “sports car handling on rails,” and while we suspect it doesn’t drive anything resembling a sports car, it could be a remarkably refined experience in a giant-wheel truck.
The Jeep’s exterior is custom almost every single square inch of it, including an aggressive new fascia host to new LED headlights and a sharp grille sporting two bright red tow hooks. It can also be fitted with power side-steps, and the doors can be easily taken off. The cabin has also been treated with a host of impervious trim upgrades, along with a thumping audio system.SoFlo Customs has already constructed a minimum of three examples and is taking orders for newly set-up models.
