Ola Electric Unveils Gen 3 Scooters: Ola Electric Mobility Ltd on Tuesday finally launched its latest Gen 3 range of electric scooters. These new models sport(e)t Ola’s next-gen operating system – MoveOS 5 – which brings some major upgrades for the brand.
The new lineup consists of the S1 Pro, S1 Pro+, and the comparatively inexpensive S1 X and S1 X+. Bookings for the new scooters are currently open and deliveries are expected to begin in mid-February 2025.
Ola Gen 3 Scooter Prices:

It will offer two variants: one with a 3 kWh battery and the other with a 4 kWh battery. The Pro+ features a choice of a 4 or 5.3 kWh battery pack.
S1 X gets two, three, or four kWh battery options, and S1 X+ only offers a four kWh pack.
The Pro+ variant has a claimed range of 320 km and can do a top speed of 141 kph.
Among its standout features is the ‘Brake by Wire’ technology, which balances braking and resistance from the motor via sensors, helping to enhance range by 15 percent and opponent doubling brake pad life. The scooters also comes with a mid-drive motor — five times more efficient, reliable and light than the hub motors on early versions.
Instead of a belt drive, Ola has gone for a chain drive that uses pre-lubricated O-rings that will last two times longer than those used in the previous belts, according to the company.
By December 2024, Ola Electric will also have expanded its reach to 4000 stores and service centres across India, a massive increase from 800 in November. India is now 25 percent of the company.
Ola Electric also confirmed the Roadster X launch date, which, as reported in the media, is scheduled for February 5, 2025. Deals will still available on previous generation Ola electric scooters.
