Please note that we have compared the manual powertrain of the Tata Curvv (1.2-litre TGDI) and the Citroen Basalt (1.2-litre turbo-petrol, also available with the manual very much like the former) with a higher number of powertrain choices. In terms of paper, the 125hp Curvv has a 15hp higher edge, while 225Nm of torque is higher by 35Nm.

than the Curvv’s time of 11.96 seconds. When running from a standstill, however, the Basalt is faster across the speed run, including 20kph, 40kph, 60kph and 80kph, as seen in the table above. In acceleration over the speed bands mentioned above, Basalt is, on average, 0.47 seconds quicker than the Curvv.
