Beyond Creta EV : Hyundai, the leader in the four-wheeler category, is gearing up to unveil the electrified version of Creta on January 17 at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. In between all this, the company’s COO Tarun Garg has shared the future growth plan of EV fleet in the Indian market.As per the info shared by the senior executive, the comapny has three upcoming EVs lined up for the India market. Next up is expected to be the EV range, which are likely to dominate different segments of the market very shortly.

Garg said the upcoming EV models will range from category-born electric to ICE-derived models. The next one will be locally made with futuristic and cutting-edge technology, and he further noted that it will be able to attract the target audience.

Platform and Range

He didn’t disclose or allude to any of the upcoming models. But if gossip is to be taken seriously, the comapany may add an electric sub-compact SUV, which will challenge current hot selling product Tata Punch in the market. ev. The EV is likely to be built on the E-GMP (K)

architecture and will have a reasonable range of up to 355 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle). Also it will bring pure-electric avatar of Venue and Grand i10 NIOS for customers. The company has yet to share any information on that as well.As for the competition, the Venue Electric will take on Nexon once launched. ev, whereas Grand i10 compete with Tiago. ev.
