Royal Enfield s First Electric Bike? Flying Flea C6 Likely Arriving in March 2026!

Royal Enfield s First Electric Bike : In the Q3 FY 2025 earnings call of Royal Enfield’s parent company Eicher Motors Limited, the brand has disclosed an important information about the launch timeline of the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6. Speaking to the launch of Royal Enfield electric by 2026B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield said “….somewhere around the first quarter of 2026 it will be hitting the market.”

When the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 and S6 were first revealed on November 4, 2024, the company had announced that retail could expected in Spring 2026 (March 2026 – June 2026). Of course, attending the Flying Flea C6’s show in March 2026 should also bring some good news to the calendar, and we can all assume that the brand will try to end the fiscal year on a positive note. The all-electric Royal Enfield motorcycle will be based on the company’s forthcoming EV manufacturing plant in Vallam Vadagal, Tamil Nadu.

The brand is also aiming a target of about 1.5 lakh unit per annum production at the plant for electric vehicles, he added. How many motorcycles that actually sells because that’s dependent upon demand. The electric bicycle will certainly not be inexpensive, with a rate query of

around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). To put this in context, Revolt Motors (who today, are India’s best selling and most popular electric motorcycle maker) could only register a total of 9,955 units in the whole of calendar year 2024, according to the Vahan portal. These bikes cost only around Rs 1-1.5 lakh ex-showroom.

Output from the plant will be scaled but modular so Royal Enfield can tweak it as per the in-market requirements. Expect the scrambler-style Flying Flea S6 to follow of the classic roadster-style C6 when it comes to the brand’s next launches in the coming months. Marco Zacchera, whose appointment comes on the heels of the bang-on announcement of EV business, was already a

member of the Royal Enfield board and led the Spanish electric mobility company Stark Future which had a strategic investment of 50 million Euros made by Royal Enfield in December 2022. This collaboration continues to be a strategic collaboration with Stark assisting Royal Enfield in light weighting, design modularity, innovations in motor controller, battery controller and their

integration. Royal Enfield, in return, offers them its know-how on scale and supply chain operations. That’s why we won’t be seeing a Stark electric motorcycle anytime soon. The Indian electric motorcycle space is going to get even more exciting in the next few months. Ola Electric plans to begin deliveries of the Roadster range from March 2025, ensuring Royal Enfield would have

at least a year to observe the market performance of Ola’s electric bikes. Honda has time to learn even more since, on the other hand, its future electric commuter bike is expected to hit the market no earlier than 2028. If Honda, Ola Electric and Royal Enfield’s ‘pilot projects’ yield good results, expect erstwhile brands such as Bajaj, Suzuki, Yamaha and TVS to enter the fray.
