MG Expands : The success MG has seen in the country is pretty decent. They have quite a bit of development under their belt when it comes to the EV space and they will slowly roll out their premium range of products in India which will be sold through MG dealerships. Initially they will have 14 showrooms in 13 cities in the country.
All of it falls under MG’s “first phase of expansion”. MG says the new showrooms will “curate the customer experience” and are aimed at the “new age of buyers.” They have also introduced the first of their products, beginning with the MG Cyberster, an all-electric roadster, and the M9 electric premium van. Both vehicles were revealed at the Auto Expo 2025 and we can expect to see them launch in India soon.
The MG Cyberster and M9 van have not been revealed yet but they are not far away in the future. MG Select dealers will also pay special attention to NEV vehicles(new energy vehicles), that includes fully electric, plug-in-hybrid and regular hybrid powertrain cars. MG displayed some of its international range at the Auto Expo 2025. MG has several cars planned for the future and as per their new strategy they would be launching 5 new cars every year.
This isn’t the first time a manufacturer has split its dealership into luxury variants. Even the largest manufacturer of cars in the country, Maruti Suzuki, has a separate line known as Nexa for its more premium set of cars.
