Simple One Electric Scooter Gets an Update : Simple Energy has launched an updated version of its One electric scooter with a claimed IDC range of 248km. The Simple One packs a total 5kWh battery, (two separate packs — a fixed 3.7kWh unit and a portable 1.3kWh pack). While the scooter’s mechanics largely remain unchanged, the company has managed to improve the range to 248km, thanks to some nifty electronic trickery and a more efficient drivetrain. At 136kg, the Simple One is one of the heftier electric scooters, and a 796mm seat height means that it is also one of the taller scooters around.
Introduced since the update are a tyre pressure monitor, regenerative braking and a USB charging port, among others. At present, Simple has a very limited presence with only 10 dealerships across the country, but the automaker claims to launch a total of 150 showrooms and 200 service stations by end-FY2026.
